Cabela’s 2008-2010
Cabela’s is a chain of sports outfitting stores principally in the Midwest.
I have been to and photographed in eighteen of the total of thirty-one Cabela's stores.Some of the larger stores have full taxidermy mountains where animals are displayed in situ in various contexts: in the dessert, in high country, in a jungle, etc. Over a two-year period I made several trips to photograph. I am thankful to the Cabela's company for their permission allowing me to photograph in the stores when they were closed.
