Goldfield Ghost Town, Apache Junction, AZ 2012
Goldfield Ghost Town is a tourist attraction about 3/4 of an hour from Phoenix in the foothills. I arrived before they were open and found an old guy who said I could go on in. This one reminded me a little of the Cody series I did in 2004 called "Old Trail Town", which was one of the last series I shot with the Hasselblad SWC. Now, instead of square my digital camera allows me to set it for a 5:4 proportion, which is much closer to being square than the normal setting of a dslr. I do most of this work currently with a 14-24 mm lens.
The prints are 21 x 14 inches and are made with Canson Baryta paper.
