I am writing to acquaint you with a few things coming up that I am participating in.
First off, I am lecturing on my work and career for the Boston Architectural College(BAC) this Friday, May 10th at 11 am. This is part of the events occurring as the Boston photography festival called Flash Forward gears up. More on the festival and my lecture at their website: Flash Forward. The lecture is free and open to the public.
Next up, I am giving a gallery talk at the Danforth Museum in Framingham, MA on my show there called Wheat at 3 pm, Sunday, Mother's Day, May 12th.
For more information go to:Danforth ArtNext, Tuesday, May 14, at 6 pm I am on a panel discussion at the Photonics Center on the campus of Boston University for the PRC. The topic is "Portfolio Preflight" and it is intended to help people prepare their portfolios for the upcoming NEPR (New England Portfolio Reviews)hosted by both the PRC and the Griffin Museum June 8 and 8. If you plan on having your work reviewed and have not done so before I recommend the panel Tuesday evening as it will answer all your questions and probably help you be less anxious as well.
For more information and to sign up go to: Photographic Resource CenterAnd finally, I will be a reviewer for NEPR this year, as I have for several years, and will be available on both days, June 7 and 8th. I am hoping to reaquaint myself with the work of some of you that have been showing me your portfolios in past years and meet new photographers as well. Note: if you do sign up for me to see your work, I do not accept work shown eletronically. No iPad or computers, please.
Registration for this important regional event for photographers takes place May 13th.
To sign up and to register go to: PRC NEPR or to: Griffin Museum of Photography
